Position Overview:

KH is seeking a well-rounded generalist with a strong foundation in real estate law and a desire to work across multiple practice areas, Illinois-licensed and resides in or near the northwest suburbs of Chicago—particularly within McHenry County—to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This is a client-facing position with the expectation of in-person client meetings and regular office presence.

Core responsibilities include:

Real Estate

  • Representing buyers, sellers, developers, and lenders in residential and commercial transactions
  • Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements
  • Reviewing and clearing title
  • Preparing and analyzing leases
  • Managing due diligence and contract timelines
  • Handling closings from start to finish
  • (Bonus) Advising on zoning, land use, or permitting issues

General Practice

  • Advising closely held businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Drafting contracts, operating agreements, and related corporate documents
  • Providing estate planning or probate counsel
  • Supporting litigation or dispute resolution matters

Who We’re Looking For:

  • At least three (3) years of experience and thrives on variety—able to manage diverse client needs while providing practical, solutions-oriented legal counsel
  • A self-motivated, client-focused attorney with strong real estate experience, as well as, corporate law, estate planning, minor criminal litigation, or transactional matters is highly valued analysis
