Biography
Michael T. Wurster concentrates his practice in estate and trust administration and litigation, representing clients in will and trust contests, contested guardianship appointments, and the recovery of misappropriated assets. He brings over a decade of legal experience, beginning his career in family law litigation before turning his focus to guardianship, trust administration, and Medicaid appeals. Michael has argued before the Illinois Second District Appellate Court and has handled appellate matters arising from trust and estate litigation. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Michael has been recognized multiple times as an Illinois Super Lawyers ‘Rising Star,’ an honor reserved for the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state as selected through peer nomination and independent evaluation. He has also been involved in his community, having previously served on the McHenry County Bar Association’s Board of Governors as Bylaws Chair.
